Another international award for a school from Serbia

School for hearing impaired "Stefan Decanski"  from Belgrade is the winner of the Academy of Central European Schools (ACES) award for innovative cross-border project on media literacy.
The award was presented at a ceremony in the Slovak town of Senec, from  9 to 12 April, with the participation of 230 students and teachers, as well as representatives of the ministries of
education from 15 countries.
The aim of the Serbian award-winning projects, which was produced with partner school "Constantin Păunescu" from Romania, is to raise awareness on the problems of children with special needs.
Serbia has been a part of the cross-border network of schools since 2007. Competitions for school projects are published every year, and so far 37 schools from Serbia have participated in ACES. This year's project involved more than 400 schools from the region, and of these, 107 schools received the grant, and the International jury awarded the five best projects.
New ACES Contest on  the theme"I and others: Discovering diversity in and  around me" is still open. Schools in Serbia can submit their project proposals until 30 April, and students can foundmore information at www.aces.or.at. ACES  Network  was founded by Erste Foundation in 2006. Today. 15 countries are members of the network.

Конкурс „Креативна школа 2012/2013.“ намењен је наставницима и стручним сарадницима у основним и средњим школама у Републици Србији, чији радови представљају примере добре праксе наставе и остваривања образовно-васпитних циљева применом информационих технологија. Једна од тема овогодишњег конкурса била је пројектна настава. На конкурсу смо представили нашу кретивну радионицу "Заједно можемо да превазиђемо разлике", реализоване у оквиру aces пројекта "Медијски гласови за тинејџере са посебним потребама".

Microsoft, through the Microsoft’s program “Partners in Learning”, has repeatedly organized an open competition “Creative school” on a yearly basis and presented its results, as the best and prominent examples of innovation in education on the “Creative school” portalwww.kreativnaskola.rs.

The open competition is organized for the teams of K12 teachers. The aim of this open competition is to affirm teachers’ creative work and to create the base of exemplary works. This open competition promotes the examples for good education practice, promotes the collaboration and team work in schools, and develops the aspect of training through the exchange of teaching experiences, based on modern IT technology application. The best works received for open competition are used for the creating the “Knowledge Base” and can be found on the following web address:www.kreativnaskola.rs

As one of the themes for this years' "Creative School" contest was project classes, we apllied with the presentation of our creative workshop "Together we can make a difference" as a part of our aces project " Media Voices 4 Special teens". 

Our presentation has entered "Knowledge Base" of good practice examples for secondary schools.

Škola za oštećene sluhom - nagluve „Stefan Dečanski“ iz Beograda je dobitnica nagrade Akademije srednjeevropskih škola (ACES) za inovativni prekogranični projekat na temu medijske pismenosti.

Dobitnici iz Srbije

   Nagrada je dodeljena na svečanosti u slovačkom gradu Senecu. ACES je jedna od najvećih prekograničnih školskih mreža u Evropi koju čini 15 partnerskih zemalja. Više od 400 škola je učestvovalo u ovogodišnjem projektu, a od tog broja, 107 škola je primilo donaciju, dok je međunarodni stručni žiri nagradio pet najinovativnijih projekata.

Cilj projekta, rađen sa partnerskom školom „Constantin Paunescu“ iz Rumunije, je da podigne svest o problemimа dece sа posebnim potrebаmа. Orgаnizovane su rаdionice gde su učenici izrađivali zаnаtske proizvode. Kanali komunikacije korišćeni tokom projekta su čаsopis "Rаzvitаk" i trojezični blog na srpskom, engleskom i rumunskom jeziku „Medijski glаsovi za posebne tinejdžere“.

Na dodeli ACES nagrade u slovačkom gradu Senecu, od 9.do 12.aprila je učestvovalo 230 studenata i nastavnika, kao i predstavniciministarstava obrazovanja iz 15 zemalja. Među njima su bili i učenici i nastavnici iz škole „Stefan Dečanski“.

Školske delegacije su predstavile rezultate svojih zajedničkih projekata i podelile među sobom iskustva i znanja stečena tokom ovog projekta.

Srbijaje deo prekogranične mreže škola od 2007. godine. Konkursi za školske projekte se objavljuju svake godine, a do sada je 37 škola iz Srbije učestvovalo u programu ACES.

Novi konkus ACES na temu „Ja i drugi: Otkrivanje raznovrsnosti oko mene i u meni“ je još uvek otvoren. Škole iz Srbije mogu da podnesu predloge svojih projekata do 30.aprila.

Mrežu ACES osnovala je ERSTE fondacija 2006. godine. Danas mreža broji 15 država. Za koordinaciju inicijative zaduženi su neprofitne organizacije Interkulturalni centar iz Austrije i VČELI DOM iz Slovačke, uz podršku Ministarstva obrazovanja svih zemalja članica.

Svake godine se održava takmičenje za najbolje projekte unutar školskog partnerstva. Međunarodni žiri bira najbolje projekte koji dobijaju novčanu nagradu. Nagrađene škole dobijaju podršku tokom realizacije svojih projekata i pozvane su na međunarodne sastanke mreže, kao što je ovaj u Senecu.

School for hearing impaired pupils "Stefan Decanski," from Belgrade, is  the Academy of Central European Schools  (ACES)  Award winner for innovative cross-border project on media literacy.

The award was presented at a ceremony in the Slovakian town of Senec. ACES one of of the largest cross-border school networks in Europe consisting of 15 partner countries. More than 400 schools participated in this year's project, and of that number, 107 schools received the grant, and is an international expert jury awarded the five most innovative projects.

The aim of the project , that was done with the partner school "Constantin Păunescu" from Romania, is to raise awareness of the problems of children with special needs. Workshops were organized where students made handicraft products. The communication channels used in the project include the school magazine "Development" and trilingual blog in English, Serbian and Romanian "Media voices 4special teens."

Final ACES Ceremony was held in the Slovak town of Senec, from  9 to 12 April and was attended by 230 students and teachers, as well as representatives of the Ministires of  education from 15 countries. Among them were students and teachers from the school "Stefan Decanski."

School delegation presented the results of their joint projects and shared with each other experience and knowledge gained during this project.

Serbia jis a member of this  of cross-border network of schools since 2007. Competitions for school projects are published every year, and so far 37 schools from Serbia participated in ACES.

New  ACES concurs on the theme of diversitz, titled  "Me and others: Discovering the diversity around me and in me" is still open. Schools in Serbia can submit their project proposals by 30 April.

ACES Network  was founded by Erste Foundation in the year 2006th. Today the network consists of 15 states. Non-profit organization Intercultural Centre in Austria and VČELI DOM from Slovakia, are responsible for coordinating this initiatives, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the member countries.

Each year a contest for the best projects within the school partnership is open. An international jury selects the best projects that receive a cash prize. The winning schools receive support during the implementation of their projects and have been invited to international meetings of the network, such as this in Senec.

Evo nekih kadrova, sa današnje prodajne izložbe učeničkih radova ispred zgrade Opštine Savski venac, u Beogradu.
Na izložbi su učestvovale sve osnovne i srednje škole sa teritorije ove opštine.

Inače, Opština Savski venac je i naš lokalni partner na aces projektu "Medijski glasovi za tinejdžere sa posebnim potrebama" - predstavnici Opštine Savski venac prisustvovali su našim projektnim aktivnostima i opština je donirala materijal za školske radionice, za časove praktične nastave i naredne kreativne radionice.

At this exhibition all primary and secondary schools from the theritory of Belgrade municipality Savski venac were present with their products.

It is also sent to National Library of Serbia, so it is avaliable for reading, both in paper and digital form.

Initially, the blog was only a part of the contribution to the project of the team from Romania.
We started with the idea to create a blog in English to help us make known the project activities. Then we decided it's not enough to just post our school activities because we have a partner school project that has a lot to show. So we expanded team. Then we thought it would be good to give the opportunity to understand posts to the students, parents and our teachers who do not speak English, so we started to translate as much as we can of what we posted, in Romanian and in Serbian! And just like that, we have now a trilingual blog, where are working as volunteers, six bloggers (three for  each partner country) three teachers and three teens.
I think it's time to get acquainted with the team of bloggers who work with devotion to our blog, helping us to exceed all expectations!

Initial, blogul facea parte doar din contributia in proiect a echipei din Romania. 
Noi am pornit cu ideea de a crea un blog in limba engleza care sa ne ajute sa facem cunoscute activitatile proiectului. Apoi am decis ca nu este de ajuns sa postam doar activitatile scolii noastre, deoarece in proiect avem o scoala partenera care are multe de aratat. Asa ca am largit echipa. Dupa care ne-am zis ca ar fi bine sa dam posibilitatea de a intelege postarile si elevilor, parintilor si profesorilor nostri care nu cunosc limba engleza, asa ca ne-am apucat sa traducem cat mai mult din ceea ce postam, in limba romana si in limba sarba! Si, uite asa, am ajuns sa avem un blog trilingv, la care muncesc, ca voluntari, sase oameni, cate trei din fiecare tara partenera, trei profesori si trei adolescenti.
Cred ca este timpul sa va fac cunostinta cu echipa de bloggeri care muncesc cu devotament la blogul nostru, ajutandu-ne sa ne depasim cu mult asteptarile!

U početku blog je zamišljen kao doprinos rumunskog tima projektu.
Započeli smo ga sa idejom daa nam pomogne da objavljujemo projektne aktivnosti na engleskom jeziku. Potom smo odlučili da nije dovoljno samo da objavljujemo naše školske aktivnosti, jer mi imamo partnerski školski projekat u kome možemo puno da pokažemo.Zato smo proširili tim.
Onda smo pomislili kako bi bilo dobro da omogućimo učenicima, roditeljima i nastavnicima, koji ne govore engleski jezik, da razumeju postove na blogu, pa smo počeli da prevodimo postove na rumunski i srpski jezik. I tako, sada imamo trojezični blog, na kome radi šest volontera (po tri iz svake partnerske zemlje), tri nastavnika i tri tinejdžera.
Mislim da je vreme da se upoznamo sa timom koji predano radi na blogu, pomažući nam da prevaziđemo sva naša očekivanja!
